These bowls are made by pressing the textured clay into a mold to get their shape. Due to the making process, each bowl is irregular in shape, and may have small "splits" in the exterior.  These variance are what gives these bowls so much character.
 
The surface is brush painted with white porcelain slip and polished after scratching.  The surface of these dishes are a matte-sheen.
 
Microwave and sihwasher safe, though hand wash recommended
